- Start with a question; when you do, your readers will stop to think about their answer. For example, compare these two headlines: (a) Life Is Too Short to Not Work Someplace AWESOME! (b) Would You Like to Work Someplace AWESOME? Both are good, but notice how the second one more successfully gets your attention. Here’s another example: (a) We Offer Flexible Hours! (b) Are You Looking for Flexible Hours?
- Always start the ad copy by talking about what’s in it for them. “Are you looking for ____?”
